Benzophenone-5
Sodium salt of benzophenone-4. Australia allows 10% (as sulisobenzone sodium); the EU reads it across at 5% as acid. Not a common Australian sunscreen active.
Benzophenone-5 is the sodium salt of sulisobenzone. Annex VI treats it as the same entry as BP-4, 5% as acid, and a June 2025 SCCS opinion confirmed 5% as safe by read-across from BP-4. Australia lists it as sulisobenzone sodium at 10%.
Same caveats as BP-4: not oxybenzone, not benzophenone the impurity. Include so a CosIng name on an imported label resolves.
