This is a sulfonated benzylidene camphor UVB filter, sometimes sold as Mexoryl SL. Australia and the EU allow 6% as acid. It is not 4-MBC and it is not 3-benzylidene camphor.
It appears in some older or European L’Oréal-family water-based systems. No current high-profile restriction proposal. Still a camphor derivative, so keep it distinct from the banned or under-review camphors.
