Dioxybenzone
Old benzophenone UVB/UVA2 filter. Australia still allows 3%. Sparse modern data. Do not confuse with oxybenzone or with benzophenone the degradant.
Dioxybenzone is benzophenone-8, a short-wave UVA/UVB filter. Australia allows 3%. It is not on EU Annex VI. FDA wants more data before any modern GRASE decision.
It is not the same chemical as oxybenzone (BP-3) or as benzophenone, the octocrylene degradant TGA is capping. Almost unused in current formulas. Keep it in the catalogue so a rare label match does not look like a missing page.
