Newest EU UVA filter. Annex VI allows 10%, including nano, not in inhalable products. Not permitted in Australia.
HAA299 is a photostable UVA filter (peak about 340–350 nm) added to EU Annex VI in 2022. Non-nano and nano combined must stay at or below 10%. Not for products that can reach the lungs.
SCCS found low dermal absorption. It is a marker of how slowly filters travel: EU and UK only, years after the dossier.
Not on the Australian permitted-actives table. Include it for EU labels.
