Modern broad-spectrum triazine. EU allows 5% dermal only. Not an Australian listed-sunscreen active. Watch NMP and hydrazine impurities.
Phenylene bis-diphenyltriazine is a photostable broad-spectrum organic filter used mainly in European pharmacy-brand formulas under the trade name TriAsorB. Annex VI entry 31 allows 5% on skin, not in products that can be inhaled.
SCCS cut the proposed level from 10% to 5% and flagged possible impurities (N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone and hydrazine, both CMR 1B) that should be kept at trace levels. The parent molecule has low dermal absorption.
Not on the Australian permitted-actives table used here. Include it for imported EU products.
